Edukasi Pengelolaan Sampah Organik dengan Pembuatan Komposter untuk Mitigasi Bahaya Penumpukan Sampah di SMP IT Ar-Raudhoh Albantani

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the awareness and skills of students at SMP IT ArRaudhoh Albantani, Baros District, Serang Regency, Banten, in managing organic waste through the use of composters. The methods implemented included counseling, waste management education, and composting demonstrations. The participants consisted of 85 students from grades 7 and 8. Evaluation results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of organic waste processing as well as their skills in operating composters. Positive impacts of this activity included a reduction in organic waste volume within the school environment and the development of new independent waste management habits. This initiative is expected to encourage sustainable implementation and dissemination of composting knowledge to the surrounding community.
